From 1989 on, strengthened by over 20 years of expertise, BEVAC expanded its sphere of work to the areas of telematics and airports, becoming expert-advisor at the European Commission for multiple projects and at the Airport Authority in the frame of the project ‘Zaventem 2000’ for the renewal and the expansion of Brussels National Airport.
Abroad, BEVAC developed its activities in co-operation with the Belgian government and in the frame of the mixed co-operative companies Transurb Consult and BEAC, groupings of public bodies and Belgian industries (engineering offices, enterprises, construction factories), respectively active in the area of public transport and in the area of air traffic.
BEVAC is a member of the "International Union (Association) of Public Transport" and official advisor to the Belgian Ministries of Transport.
