BEVAC Consulting
Engineers is, ever since it was founded, specialised in railway
safety signalling equipment.
Since 1965, BEVAC acts as advisory engineer to the public transport
companies, and this for design studies, drafting of the technical requirements,
project management, supervision of site works and assistance to the technical
commissioning of installations.
In 1982, BEVAC developed its own software tool, SIGNAC, capable
of simulating movements of rail vehicles based on their characteristics
and on those of the chosen network. This software tool allows the user
to (re-)calculate the positioning of signalling, to calculate travel times
and to determine energy consumption. The soft-ware package is being adapted
continuously to take into account the diversification of the rolling stock
and of the equipment for speed control and the changing exploitation requirements
from the clients.
